Effectiveness – Producing a sustainable and lasting positive result, that in many cases exceed targets, goals and expectations.

The pursuit of effectiveness is critical function of leadership.  The ‘science’ of effectiveness is essentially the at-scale implementation of best practice. Improving organization effectiveness is how a leader enhances staff morale and builds a legacy. Morale is enhanced as staff experience the success of their efforts and legacy is built as effective organization practice become effective organization habit.

In education, managers and leaders that engage in the constant pursuit for improved effectiveness serve as a proactive steward of the public trust.

Applied Leadership Science - Efficiency

Efficiency – Reducing the steps, effort, resources and/or time required to achieve a desired result.

As a leader, the pursuit of efficiency is important. All things being equal, it is better for the organization to be efficient than inefficient. Implementing the ‘science’ of efficiency is a primary way that managers and leaders add value to the organization.

In education, managers and leaders that engage in the constant pursuit for improved efficiency serve as proactive stewards of public funds.
